Pharmacological action
Pharmacotherapeutic group expectorant of plant origin Pharmacological action Anise fruit paste has an expectorant, antispasmodic, carminative and laxative effect, contributes to the normalization of secretory and motor functions of the gastrointestinal tract.
Indications

How to take, course of use and dosage
About 5 g (1 teaspoon) of fruit is placed in an enamel bowl,200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water is poured, covered with a lid and insisted on a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw materials are squeezed out. The volume of the resulting infusion is brought with boiled water to 200 ml.
Infusion is taken orally in a warm form 3-4 times a day 30 minutes before meals: adults-1/4 cup; children from 14 years and older-2-3 tablespoons; children from 6 to 14 years-1-2 tablespoons; children from 3 to 5 years-1-2 teaspoons; children from 1 year to 3 years – 1 teaspoon; children under 1 year-1/2 teaspoon.
Description
The fruit is a visloplodnik consisting of two semi-fruits (mericarp) that are not separated from each other, sometimes broken up. Fruits are ovate or obovate, slightly flattened on the sides, wider towards the base, narrowed towards the top. On the top there are the remains of a five-pronged calyx and a swollen supraplastic disk with two diverging columns. The surface of the fruit is rough. The outer side of the mericarp is convex, the inner side is flat. Each mericarp has five slightly protruding longitudinal ribs: three of them are on the convex side, two on the sides. In the mericarp, one seed fused with the pericarp. Fruit length is 3-5 mm, width is 2-3 mm. The color of the fruit is yellowish-gray or brownish-gray. The smell is strong and fragrant. The taste of the water extract is sweet and spicy. Anise fruit contains essential oil, fatty oil and other biologically active substances.
