Composition

Auxiliary substances:

peanut butter – 194 mg,

hydrogenated soybean oil-6 mg,

Pharmacological action

Antiprotozoal drug. Active against trichomonads.

It also has an anti-alcohol (disulfiram-like) effect.

Pharmacokinetics

It is well absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. It is slowly excreted, which allows you to maintain the trichomonacid concentration in the blood for many hours.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Use during pregnancy and lactation is only possible if the intended benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus.

The drug is excreted in breast milk, so if it is necessary to prescribe the drug during lactation, you should stop breastfeeding.

Contraindications

• hypersensitivity to tenonitrozole and other components of the drug;
• acute and chronic liver failure;

How to take, course of use and dosage

For oral use.

Take one capsule 2 times a day (morning and evening) with meals for 4 days. It is not recommended to exceed the specified daily dose.

If you miss one or more doses, resume taking the drug at the usual dose.

During treatment, avoid the use of alcohol and drugs containing ethanol. There is a certain risk in patients who abuse alcohol, especially if the recommended dosage is exceeded. Do not prescribe the drug to people who are unable to refrain from taking alcohol during treatment.

Simultaneous treatment of sexual partners is necessary.

Do not wear contact lenses during treatment (possible penetration of the drug into the eye fluid).

Possible staining of the sclera and urine in yellow.

If the number of white blood cells changes while taking other medications, consult your doctor.

The drug is used to treat trichomoniasis only in adults. During the course of treatment for trichomoniasis, sexual contact should be avoided.
