Composition

1 suppository contains:  

Active ingredients:  

Belladonna thick extract (containing the sum of belladonna alkaloids in terms of hyoscyamine 1.5%) – 0.015 g

Ichthammol (ichthyol) — 0,2 g

Basics for suppositories:  

Solid fat (vitepsol, supposir) — a sufficient amount before receiving a suppository weighing 1.23 g

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION

Combined drug; has antispasmodic (belladonna extract) and anti-inflammatory (ichthyol) effects.

Indications

Hemorrhoids, anal fissures.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, angle-closure glaucoma, prostate adenoma, age up to 18 years.

Side effects

Dry mouth, thirst, constipation, tachycardia, mydriasis, paresis of accommodation, allergic reactions.

Not described.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Rectally,1-3 suppositories per day, but no more than 10 suppositories per day, after a cleansing enema or spontaneous bowel cleansing.

Overdose

In case of overdose, dry mouth, thirst, constipation, tachycardia, mydriasis and other temporary visual disturbances are possible, in more severe cases – psychomotor agitation, convulsions, and urinary retention.

Special instructions

During the treatment period, caution should be exercised when driving vehicles and engaging in other potentially dangerous activities that require increased concentration of attention, speed of psychomotor reactions and good eyesight.
