Pharmacological action
Infusion of birch buds has a diuretic and anti-inflammatory effect.
Birch buds contain essential oil, the main components of which are sesquiterpene compounds (betulin, betulenol, betulenic acid, caryophyllene), resins, tannins, flavonoids, saponins, macro – and microelements and other biologically active substances.
Indications
Edema of cardiac or renal origin of mild to moderate severity.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the drug,
- chronic renal failure,
- acute glomerulonephritis,
- pregnancy,
- lactation,
- children under 12 years of age.

How to take, course of use and dosage
About 10 g (1 tablespoon) of birch buds are placed in an enamel bowl, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and insist on a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, filter, the remaining raw materials are squeezed out.
The volume of the resulting infusion is brought with boiled water to 200 ml.
Take 1-2 tablespoons 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals.
It is recommended to shake the infusion before use.
