Glycol Pharmacological action

Combined drug for topical use in ENT practice.

Clotrimazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent for topical use, derived from imidazole. The antifungal effect of clotrimazole is associated with a violation of the synthesis of ergosterol, which is part of the fungal cell membrane, which changes the membrane permeability and causes subsequent cell lysis.

Chloramphenicol is a broad-spectrum bacteriostatic antibiotic. Disrupts the process of protein synthesis in the microbial cell. It is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

Beclomethasone dipropionate-corticosteroids. It has an anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effect.

Lidocaine hydrochloride is a local anesthetic that causes a reversible blockage of the impulse along nerve fibers by blocking the passage of sodium ions through the membrane.

Indications

Allergic and inflammatory diseases of the ear, including:

• acute and diffuse external otitis;

• acute otitis media;

• chronic otitis in the acute stage;

• condition after ear surgery.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Contraindicated in pregnancy.

Breast-feeding should be discontinued for the duration of treatment.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity;

• violation of the integrity of the eardrum

• in children under 6 years of age.

Side effects

Rarely, but there is burning and itching at the site of application, as well as possible allergic reactions.

Candibiotic is applied topically,4-5 drops in the external ear canal,3-4 times a day.
