Composition

1 tablet contains:

Active ingredient:  

– clotrimazole 100 mg.

Auxiliary substances:

adipic acid;

corn starch;

colloidal silicon dioxide;

lactose;

magnesium stearate;

methyl parahydroxybenzoate (nipagin);

sodium bicarbonate;

sodium glycolate (primogel);

povidone K-30;

propyl parahydroxybenzoate (nipazole);

talc

Pharmacological action

Candide-B6 is a topical antifungal drug derived from imidazole.

Disrupts the synthesis of ergosterol, which is part of the fungal cell membrane, which causes a change in its properties and leads to cell lysis.

The drug is active against dermatophytes (Trichophyton, Epidermophyton, Microsporum), yeasts and yeast-like fungi (Candida, Torulopsis glabrata, Rhodotorula), fungi, and Malassezia furfur, Aspergillus; some strains of gram-positive bacteria (Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp. Corynebacterium minutissimum), gram-negative bacteria (Bacteroides spp., Gardnerella vaginalis), and Trichomonas vaginalis.

Indications

-genital infections caused by yeast fungi of the genus Candida and / or Trichomonas vaginalis(candida vulvovaginitis, trichomoniasis);

– genital superinfections caused by bacteria sensitive to clotrimazole (mixed vaginal infections, bacterial vaginitis).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Candide-B 6.

Side effects

Rarely — a slight burning sensation immediately after use of the tablet, which passes with continued treatment.

Interaction

When administered vaginally, it reduces the activity of amphotericin B and other polyene antibiotics.

When used concomitantly with nystatin, Candida-B6 activity may decrease.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Locally. It is introduced intravaginally, deeply, in the “supine” position with slightly bent legs.

Take 1 tablet (100 mg) once a day (in the evening) for 6 days.

A second course of treatment is possible after consulting a doctor.

Special instructions

To prevent urogenital reinfection, simultaneous treatment of both sexual partners is necessary.

In trichomoniasis, other drugs with systemic effects, such as metronidazole, should be prescribed together with Candide-B6 for more successful treatment.

Vaginal tablets are not recommended for use during menstruation.
