Pharmacological action
Chondroitin sulfate is a high-molecular mucopolysaccharide involved in the construction of the main substance of cartilage tissue. Chondroitin sulfate improves phosphorus-calcium metabolism in cartilage tissue, accelerates its recovery processes, inhibits the processes of degeneration (destruction) of cartilage and connective tissue; inhibits enzymes that cause damage to cartilage tissue. Chondroitin sulfate reduces pain and improves mobility in affected joints. Chondroitin sulfate slows down the progression of osteoarthritis. Having a molecular similarity to heparin, chondroitin sulfate can potentially prevent microcirculation disorders in the subchondral region.
Dimethyl sulfoxide, which is part of the gel, promotes better penetration of chondroitin sulfate through cell membranes deep into tissues. Chondroitin reduces the soreness and mobility of the affected joints, as well as slowing the progression of osteoarthritis and osteochondrosis. Chondroitin gel is well absorbed, does not leave traces and does not stain clothes.
