Composition

Active ingredient:

clenbuterol hydrochloride – 5 mcg.

Auxiliary substances:

lactose monohydrate-70 mg;

wheat starch-31.48 mg;

MCC-48.5 mg;

colloidal silicon dioxide-2 mg;

magnesium stearate-2 mg;

povidone (povidone K 25) — 6 mg

Pharmacological action

Clenbuterol is a selective beta-2-adrenomimetic. It has a bronchodilator and secretolytic effect. It excites beta-2-adrenergic receptors, stimulates adenylate cyclase, increases the content of cAMP in cells, which, affecting the protein kinase system, deprives myosin of the ability to connect with actin and promotes relaxation of the bronchi. Inhibits the release of mast cell mediators that promote bronchospasm and bronchial inflammation. Reduces swelling or congestion in the bronchi, improves mucociliary clearance.

Indications

Bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.

Side effects

From the cardiovascular system:  tachycardia, extrasystole, arterial hypo – or (more often) hypertension, cardialgia, facial hyperemia.

From the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system:  finger tremor, anxiety, headache, dizziness, general weakness, insomnia, paresthesia.

From the digestive system:  dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, gastralgia.

Allergic reactions:  skin rash, urticaria, bronchospasm, angioedema.

Other services:  increased sweating, hypokalemia, muscle cramps. If the drug is abruptly discontinued, resistance and rebound syndrome may develop. When used in large doses, it causes finger tremors.

How to take, course of use and dosage

It is applied inside.

Adults and children over 12 years of age — 10-20 mcg 2-3 times a day, maintenance dose-10 mcg 2 times a day.

For young children — in reduced doses, depending on the age,2 times a day.

Overdose

Symptoms:  arrhythmia, tachycardia, arterial hypertension, cardialgia, tremor of the extremities, hypokalemia may develop.

Treatment:  gastric lavage, use of activated charcoal, use of water-salt solutions, monitoring of serum potassium levels, symptomatic therapy.

Storage conditions

List B. The drug should be stored in a place protected from light, inaccessible to children at a temperature not exceeding 25°, do not freeze.

Shelf

life is 3 years.
