Active ingredients
The effect of COMPLIVIT ® DIABETES is determined by the properties of the components included in the composition (according to literature data):
Vitamin A (Retinol Acetate)Â It is involved in the formation of visual pigments, is necessary for twilight and color vision; for bone growth, regulation of division and differentiation of the epithelium. Its antioxidant activity prevents the development of late complications of diabetes mellitus.
Vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol acetate)Â it participates in the processes of tissue respiration, metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, affects the function of the genital and other endocrine glands, slows down the aging process of body tissues. Vitamin E has a pronounced antioxidant activity, protecting cell membranes and preventing the development of complications of diabetes mellitus.
Vitamin B 1 (Thiamine Hydrochloride)Â It plays an important role in protein, carbohydrate and fat metabolism, as well as in the synthesis of nucleic acids, proteins and lipids. It has neurotropic activity, participates in nerve impulse conduction and regeneration of nervous tissue, playing an important role in slowing the progression of diabetic neuropathy.
Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)Â participates in tissue respiration, in all types of metabolism (carbohydrate, protein, fat), in the synthesis of erythropoietins, hemoglobin, is necessary for the normal functioning of the lens and tissues most sensitive to lack of oxygen (brain); protects the retina from ultraviolet radiation.
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine hydrochloride)Â It participates in protein metabolism and neurotransmitter synthesis, and is essential for the normal functioning of the central and peripheral nervous systems.
Nicotinamide (Vitamin PP)Â it participates in the processes of tissue respiration, fat and carbohydrate metabolism.
Folic acid takes part in the synthesis of amino acids, nucleotides, and nucleic acids; it is necessary for normal erythropoiesis, and improves the regeneration of damaged tissues.
Calcium Pantothenate (Vitamin B5)Â it participates in carbohydrate and fat metabolism, the synthesis of steroid hormones, improves the energy supply of the contractile function of the myocardium, accelerates regeneration processes, and participates in the transmission of nerve impulses.
Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin)Â participates in the synthesis of nucleotides, is an important factor in the normal growth, hematopoiesis and development of epithelial cells. Cyanocobalamin is involved in the formation of myelin, which forms the sheath of nerve fibers. Increases the ability of tissues to regenerate.
Vitamin C(Ascorbic acid)Â participates in the regulation of redox processes, carbohydrate metabolism, blood clotting, tissue regeneration; increases the body’s resistance to infections. Normalizes capillary permeability, participates in the synthesis of steroid hormones, collagen, as well as in immune responses. Enhances detoxification and protein-forming functions of the liver, increases the synthesis of prothrombin.
Rutin has antioxidant properties, has an angioprotective effect: it reduces the rate of water filtration in capillaries and their permeability to proteins. Helps to slow down the development of diabetic retinopathy, prevent microthrombosis and other retinal lesions of vascular origin.
Lipoic acid is an antioxidant, participates in the regulation of carbohydrate metabolism, helps to reduce the concentration of glucose in the blood and increase the content of glycogen in the liver, as well as to overcome insulin resistance. Improves neuron trophism and reduces diabetic neuropathy.
Biotin promotes cell growth, participates in the synthesis of fatty acids, in the processes of assimilation of other vitamins of group B. Biotin has an insulin-like effect, reducing blood glucose levels. In diabetes mellitus, there is a violation of biotin metabolism and, as a result, its deficiency.
Zinc is a part of many enzymes, participates in all types of metabolism. Increases the effect of insulin. Zinc is involved in cell division and differentiation, stimulates skin regeneration and hair growth, and has an immunomodulatory effect.
Magnesium is involved in the regulation of neuromuscular excitability, reduces the excitability of neurons and slows down neuromuscular transmission, and is also involved in many enzymatic reactions.
Chromium is involved in the regulation of blood glucose levels, enhances the action of insulin in all metabolic processes.
Selenium is a trace element that is part of all body cells. It provides antioxidant protection of cell membranes, potentiates the action of vitamin E, and is essential for the immune system. In combination with vitamins A, E and C, it has an antioxidant effect and improves the adaptive characteristics of the body under the influence of extreme factors.
Ginkgo biloba extract improves cerebral blood circulation and the supply of oxygen and glucose to the brain, contributes to the normalization of neurotransmitter processes in the central nervous system. It has a dose-dependent vasoregulatory effect, regulating blood filling of blood vessels. Improves metabolism in organs and tissues, increases the utilization of oxygen and glucose, and also has an antihypoxic effect. It has a positive effect on peripheral circulatory disorders, including diabetic microangiopathy.
