Composition

Active ingredient:

mebhydroline disilate 100 mg;

Auxiliary substances:

Pharmacological action

Diazoline is a histamine H1-receptor blocker.

It has anti-allergic, antipruritic, anti-exudative, and mild sedative effects.

Blocks histamine H1-receptors, lowers the tone of smooth muscles (bronchi, gastrointestinal tract, uterus), reduces capillary permeability and the development of edema, prevents itching.

Indications

• Allergic rhinitis (seasonal, chronic), pollinosis, allergic conjunctivitis, urticaria, angioedema, itchy dermatosis (eczema, neurodermatitis, etc. ), skin reaction to insect bites;
• allergic reactions to medication, food, etc. ;
• combination therapy of itchy dermatoses and bronchial asthma.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, prostatic hyperplasia, angle-closure glaucoma, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum 12, inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, pylorostenosis, epilepsy, heart rhythm disorders, pregnancy, lactation, children under 3 years of age.

With caution

Hepatic and / or renal insufficiency (dose adjustment and intervals between doses may be required.

Side effects

Nervous system and sensory disorders:  increased fatigue, slow reaction rate, dizziness, drowsiness, paresthesia.

From the digestive tract:  dry mouth, heartburn, nausea, epigastric pain.

Other services:  urination disorders, allergic reactions, granulocytopenia, agranulocytosis.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Inside, without chewing, during or immediately after a meal.

Adults and children over 12 years of age: 100 mg 1-3 times a day. The maximum single dose is 300 mg, the maximum daily dose is 600 mg.

The duration of treatment is determined by the nature of the disease and the achieved therapeutic effect.

In children, the drug is used depending on the age: for children aged 3 to 5 years-50 mg 1-2 times a day, from 5 to 10 years-50 mg 2-3 times a day, from 10 to 12 years-50 mg 2-4 times a day.
