Pharmacological action
Decoction of Elecasol collection has antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, proteus and some other microorganisms;
it has an anti-inflammatory effect and stimulates reparative processes.
Indications
It is used as an antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory agent in complex therapy:
- diseases of the respiratory tract and ENT organs: in chronic tonsillitis, acute laringofaringit, acute and chronic pharyngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis,
- in dentistry: acute and recurrent aphthous stomatitis, lichen planus sostoi of the oral cavity, periodontitis,
- in gastroenterology: chronic duodenitis, enteritis, colitis, enterocolic,
- in dermatology: microbial eczema, atopic dermatitis, rosacea, acne vulgaris,
- in gynecology: a nonspecific inflammatory diseases of the vagina and cervix (colpitis, cervicitis,
- in urology: chronic pyelonephritis, chronic cystitis, urethritis and chronic prostatitis.
Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity to the components of Elecasol.
Side effects
Allergic reactions.
How to take, course of use and dosage
Elecasol is used as a freshly prepared decoction inside, externally or topically ( including by inhalation).
About 8 g (2 tablespoons) of the collection is placed in an enamel dish, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of boiling water, insist for 1 hour, boil on low heat for 15 minutes, re-insist at room temperature for 45 minutes and filter without adding additional water.
For oral use, use 1/3 cup of broth 3 times a day for 30 minutes before meals in undiluted or diluted (2-4 times) form.
Externally, cold broth of Elecasol is used undiluted for lotions 1-2 times a day.
For inhalation, a decoction is used in hot (warm) undiluted form, including during procedures on an ultrasound inhaler.
For rinsing, irrigation and douching, the broth is diluted 2-4 times.
For microclysters, use 50 ml of undiluted warm broth.
Special instructions
For carrying out inhalations (including using an ultrasonic inhaler), only a warm or hot decoction of Elecasol should be used (when using a cold decoction, bronchospasm may develop!).
