Composition
>1 ml of the solution contains: Active ingredient: 10.0 mg methylethylpyridinol hydrochloride (emoxipine). Auxiliary substances: sodium sulfite anhydrous, sodium benzoate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium hydrophosphate dodecahydrate, water-soluble methylcellulose, water for injection.
Pharmacological action
Pharmacotherapy group: Antioxidant sredstvo Kod ATX: C05shpharmacological Propertiesemoxipin reduces capillary permeability, strengthens the vascular wall, stabilizes the cell membrane, inhibits platelet aggregation, reduces blood clotting and viscosity, has anti-aggregation and antihypoxic effects. Pharmacokinetics: The drug quickly penetrates the eye tissues (even in conditions of tissue edema and impaired blood supply), where it is deposited and metabolized. 5 metabolites of emoxipine, represented by dealkylated and conjugated products of its conversion, were detected. It binds to plasma proteins by an average of 42%.
Indications
- Treatment and prevention of inflammation and corneal burns;
- Treatment of hemorrhages in the anterior chamber of the eye;
- Treatment and prevention of scleral hemorrhages in the elderly;
- Thrombosis of the central retinal vein and its branches;
- Treatment of myopia complications;
- Protection of the cornea when wearing contact lenses;
- Diabetic retinopathy.
Contraindications
The use of the drug is contraindicated in case of individual intolerance, pregnancy and lactation, children under 18 years of age.
Side effects
Possible burning sensation, itching; short-term conjunctival hyperemia, rarely-the development of local allergic reactions.
Interaction
Emoxipine solution should not be mixed with other medicinal solutions.
How to take, course of use and dosage
The drug is instilled into the conjunctival cavity 1-2 drops 2-3 times a day. The course of treatment is 3-30 days. If necessary, and if the drug is well tolerated, the course of treatment can be extended to 6 months or repeated 2-3 times a year. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE DROPPER CAP 1. Remove the aluminum cap and rubber stopper from the bottle. 2. Put on the bottle a plastic cap-dropper, which is attached to the bottle, after removing the packaging from it. 3. Turn the bottle upside down and drop the drops by pressing on the body of the dropper cap. 4. Close the dropper cap with a small cap, tearing the three membranes at the bottom of the dropper cap.

Special instructions
The pipette should be rinsed with freshly boiled water before use. If it is necessary to use other drops simultaneously, emoxipin should be instilled last, after complete absorption of the previous drops (at least after 10-15 minutes).
Form of production
Eye drops 1% solution in 5 ml vials. Each bottle, together with a pipette or dropper cap and instructions for use, is placed in a cardboard box.
Storage conditions
In a place protected from light at a temperature of no more than 25 degrees. Keep out of reach of children.
