Indications

The drug “Fibralax” is used for acute or chronic constipation, hemorrhoids, anal fissures and in the postoperative period during interventions in the anorectal area (in order to create a softer consistency of the stool).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, organic narrowing of the gastrointestinal tract, intestinal obstruction, abdominal pain of unknown origin, sucrose-isomaltase deficiency,

fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, decompensated diabetes mellitus, children under 18 years of age. The drug should not be used in patients with phenylketonuria.

Side effects

In the first days of treatment, there may be a feeling of fullness in the abdomen.

The interaction

of Fibralax may slow down the absorption of concomitantly administered drugs.

An interval of 30-60 minutes should be observed between taking Fibralax and other medications.

It should not be prescribed simultaneously with antidiarrheal drugs, as well as with drugs that inhibit intestinal motility.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Inside.

Take 1 sachet 1-3 times a day 30 minutes before meals or 2 hours after meals.

Before use, fill the contents of 1 sachet with a glass of cold water, stir and immediately drink, then wash down with another glass of liquid.

Course of treatment: for acute constipation – until the constipation disappears (1-2 days); for chronic constipation-up to 4 weeks, after a week’s break, the course can be repeated; for anal fissures and hemorrhoids – until the absence of discomfort during defecation is achieved (up to 4 weeks, after a week’s break, the course can be repeated); in the postoperative period, with interventions in the anorectal area-on the recommendation of a doctor (up to 4 weeks).

The mechanism of action of Fibralax is simple: soluble dietary fiber, like a brush, “sweeps” accumulated deposits from the intestines, sorbs and removes “slags”, toxins, excess sugar, cholesterol and heavy metal salts.

An incorrect intake procedure (with insufficient fluids) can lead to irritation of the esophagus or intestines, especially in the elderly.

In patients with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, it may be necessary to reduce the dose of insulin.
