Composition

1 g:

– triamcinolone acetonide 1 mg

Auxiliary substances:

methyl parahydroxybenzoate,

stearic acid,

polysorbate 60,

cetyl alcohol,

liquid paraffin,

glycerol 85%,

purified water.

Pharmacological action

of Ftorocort-corticosteroids for topical use.

Inhibits the release of interleukin-1,2, gamma-interferon from lymphocytes and macrophages. It induces the formation of lipocortins, inhibits the release of inflammatory mediators by eosinophils, reduces the number and stabilizes mast cell membranes.

Accumulating in the epidermis, reduces itching and exudation. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-edematous effects.

Indications

-eczema;— atopic dermatitis (neurodermatitis);- psoriasis; – dermatitis of various etiologies (including allergic);- photodermatoses;- hypertrophic and keloid scars;- lichen planus erythematosus;- discoid lupus erythematosus; – insect bites.

Contraindications

-bacterial, viral and fungal skin diseases;- tuberculosis of the skin;- skin manifestations of syphilis;- perioral dermatitis;- tumors and precancerous skin diseases;- hypersensitivity.

Side effects

Local reactions: possible development of erythema, hypertrichosis, development of secondary infectious lesions (addition of bacterial and fungal infections).

Systemic side effects characteristic of corticosteroids and atrophic skin changes are possible with prolonged use or application to large areas of the skin.

Possible allergic reactions.

Interaction

The effect of oral corticosteroids on the background of topical application of triamcinolone is enhanced.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Externally. Ftorokort ointment is applied to the affected areas of the skin in a thin layer 2-3 times a day. (no more than 15 g / day).

The ointment can be applied under an occlusal dressing for lichenified manifestations (no more than 10 g / day).

The course of treatment is usually 5-10 days, with a persistent course-up to 25 days, it is not recommended to use more than 4 weeks.

Special instructions

It is not recommended to apply Ftorocort on large surfaces, avoid long-term use in children, regardless of age.

Do not apply in ophthalmology, do not apply on the face.

To prevent local infectious complications, it can be used in combination with antimicrobial agents.
