Composition

1 tablet contains:

active ingredients:

pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6),0.4 mg,

retinol palmitate, powder (vitamin a) 2 mg (corresponding to 1000 IU),

colecalciferol (vitamin D3) 1 mg (equivalent to 100 IU),

ascorbic acid (vitamin C) 15 mg,

calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate 430,4 mg (equivalent to calcium — 100 mg) and phosphorus — 77 mg)

Pharmacological action

Kalcinova is a combined preparation containing a complex of vitamins and minerals that are important factors in metabolic processes.

Calcium is involved in the formation of bone tissue, blood clotting, transmission of nerve impulses, contraction of skeletal and smooth muscles, and contributes to the normal functioning of the heart.

Phosphorus, along with calcium, is involved in the formation of bones and teeth, as well as in the processes of energy metabolism. For proper mineralization of bones and teeth, in addition to calcium and phosphorus, which are building materials, it is necessary to use vitamins, especially vitamin D3, which promotes the absorption of calcium and phosphorus in the digestive system and their proper distribution in bone and dental tissues.

Vitamin A is involved in the synthesis of various substances (proteins, lipids, mucopolysaccharides) and ensures the normal function of the skin, mucous membranes, and the visual organ.

Vitamin B6 contributes to the maintenance of the structure and function of bones, teeth, gums; affects erythropoiesis, contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system.

Vitamin C is involved in the oxidation of a number of biologically active substances, regulation of connective tissue metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, blood clotting and tissue regeneration, stimulates the formation of steroid hormones, and normalizes capillary permeability. Vitamin C increases the body’s resistance to infections and reduces inflammatory reactions.

Indications

Kalcinova tablets are recommended in children’s practice for the following conditions: :

• during the period of intensive growth and development;
• intolerance to milk and dairy products;
• strengthening and protecting bones and teeth.

Contraindications

• hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
• increased content of calcium salts in the blood and urine;
• hypervitaminosis;
• severe renal failure (creatinine clearance less than 30 ml / min);
• children under 3 years of age.

With caution: diabetes mellitus.

Side effects

Allergic reactions, diarrhea, and abdominal pain may occur. In this case, it is necessary to stop treatment with Kalcinova and consult your doctor.

Interaction

Kalcinova tablets should not be taken simultaneously with tetracycline drugs and sodium fluoride, because calcium reduces the absorption of these drugs. If simultaneous treatment with these drugs and Kalcinova tablets is necessary, the time interval between doses should be at least 3 hours. Pyridoxine inhibits levodopa activity.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Inside, keep the tablets in your mouth until completely dissolved, or chew.

Children from 3 to 4 years old take 2-3 tablets a day, children from 4 years and older-4-5 tablets a day.

Overdose

Do not take more than the recommended dosage.

Prolonged use of very high doses of Kalcinova can lead to hypervitaminosis of vitamins A and D, an increase in the content of calcium in the blood and urine.

Treatment: symptomatic.

Special instructions

Patients with diabetes are not recommended to take Calcine tablets, because they contain sugar.

Influence on the ability to drive a car and other mechanical means: there is no known negative effect on the ability to drive a car and work with other mechanisms.
