Pharmacological action
Infusion of kidney tea leaves has a moderate diuretic and antispasmodic effect.
It also has choleretic properties, increases the secretory activity of the gastric mucosa.
The diuretic effect is accompanied by the excretion of chlorides, urea and uric acid in the urine.
Indications
Infusion of kidney tea leaves is used in complex therapy for edema that occurs due to impaired renal function, as well as due to insufficient blood supply.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnancy, lactation, children under 12 years of age.
Side effects
Possible allergic reactions.
How to take, course of use and dosage
2 tablespoons of raw materials are placed in a glass or enamel dish, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover and insist for 15 minutes, periodically pressing the bag with a spoon, then squeeze it out.
The volume of the resulting infusion is brought with boiled water to 100 ml.
Infusion is used in a warm form for 1/2 cup 2 times a day for 20-30 minutes before meals.
The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks.
A second course of treatment is possible in consultation with the doctor.
It is recommended to shake the infusion before use.
Special instructions
Kidney tea is effective for long-term use (for 4-6 months).
Storage conditions
In a dry place, protected from light; prepared infusion – in a cool place for no more than 2 days.
