Composition

Active ingredients:

beta-alanine 400 mg.

Pharmacological action

Beta-alanine is an amino acid. It counteracts the sudden release of histamine, but does not have antihistamine activity due to the absence of_H1-receptor blockade.

Beta-alanine has a direct effect on cutaneous peripheral vasodilation, which causes vegetative “hot flashes”, a feeling of warmth, heat, and headache. At the physiological level, vasomotor hot flashes are caused by the activity of thermoregulatory centers in the hypothalamus, leading to peripheral cutaneous vasodilation.

This is a consequence of reactions that occur when the balance of cerebral neurotransmitters is disturbed, which occurs after the ovarian hormone secretion ceases. The drug promotes saturation of peripheral neurotransmitter receptors that are involved in this process.

Indications

“Hot flashes” during menopause.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Hypersensitivity or intolerance to gluten (due to the presence of wheat starch in the preparation).

Side effects

Very rare: allergic skin reactions (pruritus, rash).

Very rare: transient paresthesia, usually in the extremities.

Interaction

There were no clinically significant interactions of the drug with other drugs.

How to take, course of use and dosage

of 1-2 tablets daily. The dose can be increased to 3 tablets per day.

The duration of treatment is from 5-10 days until the “hot flashes” disappear.

If symptoms resume, you should repeat the course of treatment.

Overdose

No cases of drug overdose have been reported.

In case of overdose of the drug, conduct symptomatic therapy.

Special instructions

There is no addiction to the drug, the course of treatment can be prescribed throughout the entire period of vasomotor clinical disorders.

Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and other mechanisms that require increased concentration of attention
