Composition

Active ingredients:  

Meloxicam 30 mg;

Capsicum fruit tincture 100 mg;

Auxiliary substances:  

Chloroform — 25 mg.

Coriander oil-2.5 mg;

Lavender oil-2.5 mg;

Liquid paraffin — 50 mg;

Propylene glycol — 25 mg.

Stearic acid (stearic acid 50) – up to 20 mg.

Distilled monoglycerides (Dimodan HP) – up to 20 mg;

Emulsion wax — 7.5 mg;

Glycerol — 25 mg.

Poloxamer (emuxol 268) — 5 mg;

Carbomer — 3 mg.

Sodium hydroxide — 0.6 mg;

Imidourea (Germall®) — 3 mg;

Purified water-up to 1 g

Pharmacological action

Mataren Plus has an anti-inflammatory, analgesic, decongestant, warming and distracting effect in the area of applying the cream, causes local hyperemia and hyperthermia of the skin.

Mataren Plus reduces pain in the joints (including the joints of the spine) and in the muscles at rest and during movement, helps to increase the volume of joint movement (in the area of applying the cream). Reduces morning stiffness and joint swelling.

Meloxicam selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase 2, disrupts arachidonic acid metabolism, and reduces the amount of prostaglandins (mediators of pain and inflammation) in the inflammatory focus.

Pepper tincture contains capsaicin, which has an irritating effect on sensitive skin receptors, which leads to a local analgesic effect, to improve blood circulation in the skin and subcutaneous tissue, as well as a warming effect.

Improvement of local blood flow is accompanied by increased blood circulation in the underlying tissues, which helps to remove the inflammatory substrate from the pathological focus.

Due to the optimal combination of cream components, there is a mutual strengthening of their analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.

When combined, the active components of Mataren ® Plus cream have a greater effect due to synergy, compared to the individual effect of each of these components.

Indications

• Inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
• Rheumatic soft tissue lesions.
• Pain syndrome: bursitis, tendinitis, lumbago, sciatica, neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia, sciatica, post-traumatic pain syndrome (traumatic bruises, dislocations, sprains of ligaments, muscles and tendons, muscle tears without violating the integrity of the skin), muscle and joint soreness caused by heavy physical exertion.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The use of the drug is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, children’s age (up to 12 years), violations of the integrity of the skin and inflammatory skin diseases at the site of the intended application.

With caution

With impaired kidney and liver functions, with severe pathology of the gastrointestinal tract (peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum 12 in the acute phase), with severe pathology of the blood system, in childhood (from 12 to 18 years).

You should consult your doctor before using Mataren Plus cream together with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as well as if you need to use the drug for more than 10 days.

Side effects

The resulting side effects depend on individual sensitivity.

Possible allergic reactions from the skin (itching, skin rash), peeling of the skin, hyperemia.

If you experience any side effects, you should stop using the cream and consult a doctor.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Externally. Lightly rub a strip of cream from 1 to 5 cm long, the frequency of application is 1-3 times a day.

The amount of cream and frequency of application may vary depending on the area of application and individual reaction to the cream.

To enhance the effect, you can apply a dry warming bandage.

Special instructions

Avoid contact with the drug on the damaged surface of the skin, in the eyes and on the mucous membranes.

If Mataren® Plus cream gets on these areas, remove it with a cotton swab soaked in vaseline or vegetable oil.

Wash your hands thoroughly after using the product.

Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and work with mechanisms

The use of the drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms.

Form of production

Cream for external use 30 mg / g + 100 mg / g.

20,30,40,50 and 100 g each in aluminum tubes or polyethylene laminate tubes.

Each tube together with the instructions for medical use of the drug is placed in a pack of cardboard.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
