Composition

The protein composition of Modulene IBD includes casein, which protects cells from destruction. It is enriched with transforming growth factor (TBP-β2), which helps to reduce inflammation in the intestine and heal its mucosa, meeting the protein needs of adolescents and adults with CD and UC. The fat composition of Modulene IBD significantly improves the absorption and tolerability of the mixture due to easily digestible Omega – 3 and omega – 6 fats, which have a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect. Carbohydrates in the IBD Module are represented by corn syrup and sucrose. Modulene IBD is gluten-and lactose-free, which is important for patients with Crohn’s disease who are generally intolerant of them.

Indications

Therapeutic nutrition of patients with inflammatory diseases of the large intestine (Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis) over the age of 5 years.

It is used as the main or only food in the active phase of Crohn’s disease or as an additional food in any period of the disease.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; children under 5 years of age.

How to take, course of use and dosage

By mouth, by mouth, or through a probe.

To prepare the mixture, the powder should be dissolved in the required amount of clean boiled water at room temperature, immediately stir until completely dissolved, pour into a clean container, cover and cool.

Modulen IBD is a new product manufactured by Nestle for therapeutic enteral nutrition of patients with ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.

The manufacturing technology of Modulene allowed preserving in its composition the natural anti-inflammatory growth factors (TGF-b2) contained in unpasteurized milk and contributing to a decrease in the activity of the inflammatory process in the intestine and the normal functioning of the body.

Modulene is a dry, full-fledged, balanced casein-based blend that contains protein, fat, and carbohydrates in the optimal ratio, as well as all the vitamins, macro – and microelements that the body needs. Therefore, Modulene can be used as the main or only food in the active phase of Crohn’s disease or as an additional food in any period of the disease. The pleasant taste allows you to use Modulene not only for probe, but also for oral use.

The carbohydrate component is represented by maltodextrin to maintain a low osmolarity of the product. Modulene is free of lactose and gluten.

Keep in mind that 1500 ml of the nutrient mixture provides the recommended daily intake of vitamins, macro – and microelements.
