Composition

Active ingredients: Sodium heparin-1000 IU (8.3 mg with the activity of sodium heparin 120 IU/mg), Benzocaine-50 mg; Excipients: water — 19.5 mg, Solid fat (Vitepsol brand H 15, W 35 in a ratio of 1: 1, Suppository brand NA 15, NAS 50, in a ratio of 1: 1 — – before receiving a suppository weighing 1.25 g, distilled monoglycerides (Palsgaard 0093) – up to 5% of the amount of solid fat.

Pharmacological properties

Combined drug, has antithrombotic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Heparin is a direct-acting anticoagulant that, when applied topically, prevents the formation of blood clots and stops the growth of existing blood clots, and has an anti-inflammatory effect. Benzocaine has a local analgesic effect.

Indications

Thrombosis of external and internal hemorrhoids.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Side effects

Possible allergic reactions.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Rectally. The suppository is inserted into the rectum after spontaneous bowel movement or a cleansing enema. Apply 1 suppository 2 times a day. The duration of treatment with Nigepan ® is 10-14 days.

The safety of Nigepan® during pregnancy and lactation has not been established.
