Pharmacological action
Irritating the taste buds of the mucous membranes of the mouth and tongue, the infusion of Potentillae rhizomata reflexively increases the secretion of gastric juice, increases appetite and improves digestion.
Indications
It is used as a means of increasing appetite and improving digestion in complex therapy for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (including chronic gastritis, dyspeptic disorders, biliary dyskinesia, chronic cholecystitis).
Recommendations for use
10 g (1.5 tablespoons) of crushed raw materials are placed in an enamel dish,200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water is poured, covered with a lid and heated in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw materials are squeezed out. The volume of the resulting infusion is brought with boiled water to 200 ml. Take inside 1/4 cup 3-4 times a day for 30 minutes before meals. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks. It is recommended to shake the infusion before use.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug; pregnancy, lactation, children’s age (up to 12 years).
