Adaclin is a drug for external use. Adapalene is a retinoid metabolite, has a comedonolytic and anti-inflammatory effect, normalizes the processes of keratinization and epidermal differentiation. The mechanism of action of adapalene is based on interaction with specific gamma-receptors of epidermal skin cells.
As a result of the action of adapalene, in particular, there is a decrease in the “cohesion” of epithelial cells in the mouth of the sebaceous-hair follicle and a decrease in the prerequisites for the formation of microcomedones. Adapalene has an anti-inflammatory effect in vitro and in vivo, affecting inflammatory factors by inhibiting leukocyte migration in the inflammatory focus and arachidonic acid metabolism.
Absorption: adapalene absorption through the skin is very low (about 4% of the applied dose). Elimination: the elimination of adapalene from the body occurs mainly with bile.
Acne.
Caution: the drug should be used with caution in cases of dermatitis, eczema, seborrhea.
Dermatological reactions: skin irritation, hyperemia and flaking of the skin at the application site (treatment should be suspended until the skin irritation disappears or the frequency of application should be reduced).
Since adapalene does not interact with oxygen and is not destroyed by light, it is possible to simultaneously treat acne with drugs such as clindamycin or benzoyl peroxide.

In case of accidental contact with the mucous membranes of the eyes, mouth or nose, rinse them thoroughly with warm water. Avoid direct sunlight, as skin irritation may occur. Treatment can be continued if sun exposure is minimized through the use of sunglasses and hats.
It is not recommended to use cosmetics with a drying and irritating effect on the skin at the same time (for example, perfume or ethanol-containing products). Adapalene, applied to the skin in the evening, can be combined with acne medications used in the morning.
