Composition

1 tablet contains:

 purified micronized flavonoid fraction 500 mg ( including diosmin (90%) 450 mg,

flavonoids expressed as hesperidin (10%) 50 mg). Auxiliary substances:

gelatin,

magnesium stearate,

microcrystalline cellulose,

sodium starch glycolate,

talc,

glycerol,

macrogol 6000,

hydroxypropylmethylcellulose,

iron oxide yellow (E 172),

iron oxide red (E 172),

titanium dioxide (E 171),

sodium lauryl sulfate.

Pharmacological action

Detralex® has venotonizing and angioprotective properties.

The drug reduces the dilatability of veins and venous congestion, reduces the permeability of capillaries and increases their resistance. The results of clinical studies confirm the pharmacological activity of the drug in relation to venous hemodynamic parameters.

A statistically significant dose-dependent effect of Detralex® was demonstrated for the following venous plethysmographic parameters: venous capacity, venous extensibility, and venous emptying time. The optimal dose / effect ratio is observed when taking 2 tablets.

Detralex ® increases venous tone: venous occlusal plethysmography has been shown to reduce the time of venous emptying. In patients with signs of severe microcirculation disorders, an increase in capillary resistance, estimated by angiostereometry, is observed (statistically significant), compared with placebo, after therapy with Detralex®.

The therapeutic efficacy of Detralex® in the treatment of chronic venous diseases of the lower extremities, as well as in the treatment of hemorrhoids, has been proven.

Pharmacokinetics

The main release of the drug occurs with feces. On average, about 14% of the amount of the drug taken is excreted in the urine.

T1 / 2 is 11 hours.

The drug undergoes an active metabolism, which is confirmed by the presence of phenolic acids in the urine.

Indications

Symptomatic therapy of venous-lymphatic insufficiency, feeling of heaviness in the legs, pain, “Morning fatigue” of the legs, cramps, trophic disorders, symptomatic therapy of hemorrhoid exacerbation.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Pregnancy

Animal experiments did not reveal any teratogenic effects.

To date, there have been no reports of any side effects when using the drug in pregnant women.

Breast-feeding

Due to the lack of data on the excretion of the drug in breast milk, nursing women are not recommended to take the drug.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Side effects

From the central nervous system:  rarely — dizziness, headache, general malaise.

From the gastrointestinal tract:  often — diarrhea, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting; infrequently-colitis.

From the side of the skin:  rarely-rash, pruritus, urticaria; unspecified frequency-isolated swelling of the face, lips, eyelids. In exceptional cases — angioedema.

How to take, course of use and dosage

The drug is taken orally. The recommended dose is 2 tablets per day,1 tablet in the middle of the day and 1 tablet in the evening during meals. In the period of acute hemorrhoids – 6 tablets per day for 4 days, then 4 tablets per day for the next 3 days.

Special instructions

In case of acute hemorrhoids, the use of this drug does not replace the specific treatment of other anal disorders. The duration of treatment should not exceed the recommended time frame. In the event that symptoms do not disappear after a short therapy, a proctological examination should be performed and the therapy should be reviewed. In the presence of venous circulatory disorders, the maximum effect of treatment is provided by a combination with a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle, in which it is desirable to avoid long exposure to the sun, reduce body weight, take walks and in some cases wear special socks that improve blood circulation.

Influence on the ability to drive motor vehicles and control mechanisms The drug does not affect the ability to drive motor vehicles and perform work that requires a high rate of psychomotor reactions.
