How to take, course of use and dosage
of Sulfocamphocaine is applied subcutaneously, intramuscularly or intravenously in 2 ml of a 10% solution (0.2 g); if necessary, the frequency of use is up to 2-3 times a day.
The maximum daily dose for adults is 12 ml of a 10% solution (1.2 g). In acute cases, the drug is administered intravenously (slowly jet or drip) in a single dose of 2 ml of a 10% solution.
The duration of application is set individually.
In case of chronic respiratory and heart failure, it is administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly for 20-30 days.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug (including novocaine).
With caution: arterial hypotension.

Pharmacological action

Pharmaceutical action:
Sulfocamphocaine is a combined drug that has an analeptic effect. It stimulates the respiratory and vasomotor centers of the medulla oblongata.
It has a direct effect on the myocardium, enhancing its metabolic processes, improving its functions and increasing its sensitivity to sympathetic impulses.
Increases the tone of peripheral blood vessels. Improves pulmonary ventilation, pulmonary blood flow.
Due to its water solubility, the drug is rapidly absorbed by subcutaneous and intramuscular use.
It does not cause the formation of infiltrates and complications (oleoma). Intravenous use is possible.

Special instructions
