Composition

1 g of cream contains zinc pyrithione activated-2 mg;

excipients:

Tego Ker 450 (polyglyceryl 3-methyl glucose distearate),

Tegin M (Glyceryl stearate),

Tego Alkanol 18 (stearyl alcohol),

Tegosoft EE (octyl octanoate),

Tegosoft P (Isopropyl palmitate),

Tegosoft LSE 65 C (sucrose cocoat),

Abil K 4 (cyclomethicone),

glycerin,

Tegosoft E 20 (methyl glucocet 20),

nipagin,

flavoring agent (Binea D 10680),

Pharmacological action

of the pharmaceutical group:

Drug with antiproliferative, antibacterial and antifungal action for external use

Pharmacovigilance:

Zinc pyrithione activated has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal activity. Antifungal activity is particularly pronounced against Pityrosporum ovale and Pityrosporum orbiculare, which cause inflammation and excessive peeling in skin diseases. Antibacterial activity is shown against a number of pathogenic microorganisms Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp.

Zinc pyrithione reduces the intracellular level of ATP, promotes depolarization of cell membranes, causing the death of fungi and bacteria. The mechanism of anti-inflammatory action has not been studied.

Pharmacokinetics:

When applied externally, zinc pyrithione is deposited in the epidermis and the surface layers of the dermis. Systemic absorption is slow. It is found in the blood in trace amounts.

Indications

• Dry skin;
• psoriasis;
• atopic dermatitis (eczema, neurodermatitis);
• seborrheic dermatitis.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

During pregnancy and lactation, the drug should be prescribed only in cases where the expected benefit of therapy for the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus or infant.

No adverse effects have been reported with the use of zinc pyrithione preparations in pregnant and breastfed women.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Side effects

Rarely:  allergic reactions.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Externally. After intensive shaking, the Skin-cap cream is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas of the skin 2 times a day.

The course of treatment for psoriasis is 1-1.5 months, for atopic dermatitis 3-4 weeks.

Special instructions

If the drug gets into your eyes, rinse them with plenty of cold water.
