Pharmacological action

Tribestan is a herbal medicine with a tonic effect and a stimulating effect on sexual function.

In men, Tribestan restores and improves libido and increases the duration of an erection. It has a stimulating effect on spermatogenesis, increasing the number of spermatozoa and their motility.

In women, Tribestan improves libido and has a positive effect on the psychoemotional and vasomotor manifestations of natural and post-castration climacteric syndrome, reduces subjective complaints such as insomnia, tension, nervous excitability or apathy.

Tribestan has a hypolipidemic effect, which in patients with dyslipoproteinemia significantly lowers the level of total cholesterol and LDL without changing the level of triglycerides and HDL in serum.

Indications

In the complex therapy of the following conditions and diseases:

• erectile dysfunction, including accompanied by a decrease in libido;
• infertility in men due to idiopathic oligoasthenoteratozoospermia (a decrease in the number and quality of sperm in the isolated sperm), surgery for varicocele (varicose veins of the testicular spermatic cord);
• immunological infertility;
• dyslipidemia (to reduce the level of total cholesterol).

Use during pregnancy and lactation

It is not recommended to use Tribestan during pregnancy and lactation due to the lack of clinical data confirming the safety of the drug during these periods.

Contraindications

• hypersensitivity to all components of the drug;
• prostatic hyperplasia;
• severe cardiovascular diseases (stroke, myocardial infarction within the last year) or severe, unstable or uncontrolled cardiovascular disease (unstable angina, congestive heart failure symptoms at rest, a syndrome of weakness of the sinus node and conduction disorders, as sinoatrial block, AV blockade II and III degree, bradycardia
• allergic to peanut protein or soy;
• pregnancy;
• breastfeeding;
• the age of 18.

Side effects

Possible allergic reactions. Irritating effect on the gastric mucosa (nausea).

In case of side effects, including those not described in the instructions, you should consult a doctor.

Interaction

Tribestan may enhance the effect of diuretics and potentiate the antihypertensive effect of antihypertensive agents.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Tribestan is recommended to take 1-2 tablets 3 times a day with meals.

The duration of the course of treatment and the need for repeated courses of therapy are determined depending on the patient’s clinical condition and the effectiveness of the treatment.

Overdose

There are no reports of overdose of Tribestan.

Symptoms: dyspeptic disorders (nausea, vomiting) may occur.

Treatment: symptomatic.

Before you start taking the drug, you should consult your doctor.

If there is no effect on the background of taking the drug for 1 month, you should consult a doctor.

To avoid possible irritating effects of the drug Tribestan on the gastric mucosa, it is recommended to take the drug after a meal.

The shell of the drug contains soy lecithin. Patients who are allergic to peanut protein or soy should not take this medicine because of the increased risk of severe allergic reactions (including anaphylactic shock).

Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and work with mechanisms. Tribestan does not affect the ability to perform potentially dangerous activities that require increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving vehicles, working with moving mechanisms).
