Composition

The solution for oral use is clear or slightly cloudy, yellowish-brown in color, with a fragrant smell; a small sediment may fall out during storage.

100 g of the solution contains:

Active ingredients:

water-alcohol extract from medicinal plant raw materials: 29 g;

Centaury herb 600 mg;

Lyubistok medicinal root 600 mg;

Rosemary leaves 600 mg.

Auxiliary substances:

purified water 71 g.

In a bottle with a dosing drip device of 50 or 100 ml of the solution. In a cardboard box 1 bottle.

The combined drug has a diuretic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial effect.

Indications

Canephron is used in adults and children in complex therapy in the treatment of:

• chronic infections of the bladder (cystitis) and kidneys (pyelonephritis),
• with non-infectious chronic inflammation of the kidneys (glomerulonephritis, interstitial nephritis).
• as a means of preventing the formation of urinary stones (also after the removal of urinary stones).

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is possible only as prescribed by a doctor, in strict accordance with the recommendations for use and after the attending physician evaluates the risk-benefit ratio.

Contraindicated in children under 1 year of age.

Contraindications

Contraindication to the use of Canephron H is:

• hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
• peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute stage;
• children (up to 1 year);
• alcoholism (including after anti-alcohol treatment).

With caution: liver diseases, traumatic brain injury, brain diseases, children’s age (older than 1 year) (use is possible only after consulting a doctor) – due to the ethanol content.

Side effects

When using the drug, you may: :

Allergic reactions (if signs of an allergic reaction appear, you should stop taking the drug), dyspeptic disorders (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea).

Interaction

Combination with antibacterial agents is possible and appropriate.

Interactions with other drugs are currently unknown.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Dosage and use method

Inside, diluted in a small amount of water or washed down with water.

Dosage regimen for different age groups

• Adults – 50 drops 3 times/day.
• Children of school age – 25 drops 3 times/day.
• Children of preschool age (older than 1 year) – 15 drops 3 times / day.

After the severity of the disease has subsided, treatment with the drug should be continued for 2-4 weeks. If necessary, for example, to soften the bitter taste for children, the drug can be taken together with other liquids. During treatment with the drug, it is recommended to consume a large amount of liquid. Shake thoroughly before use!

Overdose

At the moment, there are no data on overdose and intoxication.

In case of overdose of the drug, symptomatic treatment is prescribed.

Special instructions

Precautions when taking the drug

For edema caused by impaired heart or kidney function, the consumption of large amounts of fluid is contraindicated.

In case of impaired renal function, the drug should not be prescribed as monotherapy.

In case of inflammatory kidney disease, you should consult a doctor for advice. If there is blood in the urine, pain when urinating, or acute urinary retention, you should immediately consult a doctor.

During storage, slight turbidity or precipitation may occur, which does not affect the effectiveness of the drug.

Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and other mechanisms that require increased concentration of attention

The content of ethyl alcohol in the preparation is from 16.0 to 19.5% (by volume). During treatment with the drug, care should be taken when driving vehicles and engaging in other potentially dangerous activities that require increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Interaction with alcohol

It is necessary to avoid taking alcoholic beverages during the period of taking the drug.
