Composition

Active ingredients:

dry prutnyak fruit extract 3,2-4,8 mg.

Pharmacological action

Phytopreparation, the components of which have a normalizing effect on the level of sex hormones.

It has a dopaminergic effect, which causes a decrease in prolactin production, i. e. eliminates hyperprolactinemia. An increased concentration of prolactin disrupts the secretion of gonadotropins, as a result of which there may be violations of follicle maturation, ovulation and the yellow body phase, which further leads to an imbalance between estradiol and progesterone. It is this hormonal imbalance that causes menstrual irregularities and mastodynia.

Cyclodinone normalizes the ratio of gonadotropin hormones, which leads to normalization of the second phase of the menstrual cycle.

Prolactin also has a direct stimulating effect on the proliferative processes in the mammary glands, increasing the formation of connective tissue and causing the expansion of the milk ducts. A decrease in the content of prolactin leads to the reverse development of pathological processes in the mammary glands and stops the pain syndrome.

Pharmacokinetics

The effect of the prutnyak fruit extract is the combined effect of its components, so it is not possible to conduct pharmacokinetic studies.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The drug should not be used during pregnancy, as well as during breastfeeding.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Side effects

Allergic reactions: rarely-skin reactions.

From the central nervous system: rarely-psychomotor agitation, confusion, hallucinations.

Interaction

When used concomitantly with dopamine receptor antagonists, mutual weakening of the action is possible.

The interaction of Cyclodinone with other drugs is not described.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Assign 1 tablet 1 time / day in the morning. The course of treatment is at least 3 months in a continuous mode.

If after discontinuation of the drug complaints appear again, it is necessary to consult a doctor and continue treatment.

Tablets should be taken without chewing.

Overdose

If the recommended dosage regimen is followed, overdose cases are not described.

Special instructions

Tablets contain milk sugar (lactose). Lactose intolerance can be considered as a possible cause of stomach pain and diarrhea that occurs while taking the drug.

The patient should be warned about the need to consult a doctor if weakness, depression, pain in the mammary glands, menstrual disorders develop during the use of the drug.

Patients with diabetes can take tablets, because a single dose of Cyclodinone contains less than 0.03 XE.
