With prolonged use of Sulphargin ointment on extensive burn surfaces, digestive disorders and changes in the blood picture (leukopenia), dyspeptic disorders and skin-allergic reactions characteristic of sulfonamide preparations may occur.
In rare cases, short-term local irritating effects (burning, pain) are possible, which usually go away on their own in 5-10 minutes after applying the dressing with ointment.
Silver sulfadiazine can inactivate the enzyme preparations used to clean the wound, so the simultaneous use of these drugs is undesirable.

Sulphargin ® ointment contains silver sulfadiazine, an antiseptic with a broad spectrum of action. The bactericidal properties of the ointment are directed at the bacteria Klebsiella spp., Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus spp., Proteus spp.
Antimicrobial ointment based on silver sulfadiazine is aimed at treating skin wounds, restoring the skin after a burn, healing wounds, abrasions and bedsores. Protects against skin infections. Active silver ions are released gradually, thereby achieving a permanent antimicrobial effect. Their bactericidal activity is combined with the action of the main substance, which inhibits the growth and reproduction of bacteria. Sulphargin® heals areas of burns, wounds and abrasions, without having a necrolytic effect.
For external use.
When applying the ointment on a large surface, the functional state of the kidneys, liver and the content of formed blood elements should be monitored; patients should be prescribed a plentiful alkaline drink.
Sulphargin should not be used for the treatment of deep purulent wounds and burn surfaces with heavy exudation.
