Composition

Active ingredients:

polydronium chloride 0.001%;

calcium chloride;

polyethylene glycol;

boric acid;

hydroxypropyl guar;

propylene glycol 400;

zinc chloride;

sodium chloride.

Pharmacological action

Sistein is an ophthalmic topical remedy that has a moisturizing effect. Sistein reduces the discomfort caused by insufficient hydration of the eyes, eliminates itching, burning and feeling of sand in the eyes.

Sistein is an inert product and does not have a chemical or mechanical effect on the mucous membrane. After applying Sistein drops to the eyes, the product forms a polymer film that reduces the evaporation of liquid from the surface of the eye and protects the eyes.

The effect of Sistein develops quickly and lasts throughout the day. The drug does not have a systemic effect and is excreted with tears.

Indications

for eliminating the symptoms of dryness and irritation of the eyes:

• with contact conjunctivitis (from the action of dust, wind, cosmetics, smoke, over-dried (due to air conditioning) air, ultraviolet light, chlorinated water),
• due to taking certain medications,
• “dry eye syndrome”.

It is used to reduce irritation and dryness of the eye mucosa in patients using contact lenses.

Contraindications

Individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Shake the bottle before use!Sistein ® Ultra ophthalmic product can be applied as needed throughout the day to moisturize and increase eye comfort. Drop 1-2 drops in each eye and blink.

Sistein® Ultra ophthalmic agent – a sterile solution containing polyethylene glycol 0.4%, propylene glycol 0.3%, hydroxypropyl guar 0.16% -0.19%, boric acid 0.7%, potassium chloride 0.12%, sodium chloride 0.1%, sorbitol 1.4%,2-amino-2-methylpropanol 0.57%, POLYQUAD ® (polydronium chloride) 0.001%, hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide (to adjust the pH), purified water (up to 100% volume).

Special instructions

Do not touch the tip of the pipette bottle, as this may cause contamination of the solution. APPLICATION  DURING PREGNANCY AND LACTATION, the safety and efficacy of use during pregnancy and lactation have not been studied. It can be used during pregnancy and lactation as prescribed by the attending physician, if the expected effect exceeds the risk of possible side effects. USE IN PEDIATRICS it is recommended to use in children under 18 years of age, since the safety and effectiveness of use in children have not been established. Warnings: Follow your ophthalmologist’s recommendations and instructions for use. If you are experiencing continued discomfort, lacrimation, vision changes, or redness of the eyes, please consult your doctor.

Storage conditions

Keep out of the reach of children at room temperature. Keep the bottle tightly closed. Do not use the solution after the expiration date indicated on the package. Do not use the solution for more than 6 months after the first opening of the bottle.
