Pharmacological Action

It exerts spasmolytic, expectorant, anti-inflammatory, hypotensive, choleretic, and carminative effects and promotes milk production in nursing mothers.

Indications

  • Spastic, colicky intestinal pain, flatulence, constipation;
  • Inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract (as part of combination therapy).

Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Herbal raw material

Approximately 10 g (2 tablespoons) of the fruits are placed in an enamel-coated container, poured with 200 ml (1 glass) of boiling water, covered with a lid, and infused in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, then cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, strained, and the remaining raw material is pressed out. The volume of the resulting infusion is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

The infusion is taken orally warm 3-4 times a day: adults and children over 12 years – 1/3 glass; children from 6 to 12 years – 1-2 tablespoons; children from 3 to 6 years – 1 tablespoon; children under 3 years – 1/2-1 teaspoon. It is recommended to shake the infusion before use.

Adverse Reactions

Allergic reactions are possible.

Contraindications

  • Pregnancy;
  • Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

With caution in arterial hypotension.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the child. Consultation with a doctor is necessary.

Pediatric Use

Used according to indications in accordance with the dosing regimen.

Special Precautions

The drug does not affect the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities requiring increased concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions (including driving vehicles, operating machinery).

Overdose

Symptoms: decreased blood pressure.

Treatment: symptomatic.

Storage Conditions

In a dry place, protected from light. The prepared infusion should be stored in a cool place for no more than 2 days. Keep out of reach of children.

Shelf Life

Shelf life – 3 years.
