Pharmacological Action

Antimonium tartaricum (potassium antimonyl tartrate) is a white powder or transparent colorless crystals that fade and become opaque at room temperature; it has a metallic taste, is soluble in boiling water, and is practically insoluble in alcohol.

  • Severe shortness of breath.

Pulmonology

  • Acute bronchopathy, bronchiolitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis). Sputum is thick, difficult to expectorate, tongue with a slight white coating;
  • Asthma;
  • Chronic respiratory failure;
  • For chronic cor pulmonale (CCP) in addition to standard treatment methods;
  • Adjuvant therapy for preoperative management of patients with chronic respiratory failure. Treatment of airway congestion in patients in a supine position after laparotomy.

Dermatology

  • Pustular acne;
  • Pitted scars (chickenpox, acne).

Other indications

  • Vagal syndrome of various origins, accompanied by pronounced pallor in the patient.

Dosage Regimen

The granules should be dissolved in the mouth 30 min before a meal or 60 min after a meal.
