Pharmacological Action
The infusion of the mixture has a hypoglycemic action, contributes to the reduction of blood glucose levels, increases carbohydrate tolerance, and enhances the glycogen-forming function of the liver.
Indications
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (non-insulin-dependent)
- In mild form – as a means of independent therapy;
- In diabetes of moderate severity – in combination with oral hypoglycemic drugs or insulin.

Dosage Regimen
| The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen. |
Herbal mixture
Approximately 5 g (1 tablespoon) of the mixture is placed in an enamel bowl, poured with 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, covered with a lid, and heated in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, and the remaining raw material is squeezed out. The volume of the resulting infusion is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.
It is taken orally in a warm form, 1/3-1/2 glass 2-3 times a day 30 minutes before meals, for 20-30 days. After 10-15 days, the course of treatment is recommended to be repeated. During the year, 3-4 courses are conducted (in agreement with the attending physician). Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.
Adverse Reactions
Allergic reactions, heartburn, increased blood pressure, and sleep disturbances are possible.
Contraindications
- Nephritis;
- Arterial hypertension;
- Gastric and duodenal ulcer;
- Increased excitability;
- Insomnia;
- Epilepsy;
- Pregnancy;
- Period of breastfeeding;
- Children’s age (under 12 years);
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation
Contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
Use in Renal Impairment
Contraindicated in nephritis.
Pediatric Use
Contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.
Special Precautions
The use of the “Arphasetin-E” mixture must be agreed with the attending physician.
When using the infusion in combination with antidiabetic drugs, it is necessary to observe the rules of administration, precautions, and contraindications provided for these drugs.
It is not recommended to use “Arphasetin-E” in the afternoon to avoid sleep disturbances.
Storage Conditions
The mixture is stored in a dry place protected from light.
The prepared infusion should be stored in a cool place for no more than 2 days. Keep out of reach of children.
