Properties
The multistrain immuno-probiotic Bac-Set® Cold/Flu is a natural immune system activator.
It increases resistance to colds and viral diseases without aggressively interfering with the body’s own defense mechanisms, so it can be taken by frequently ill children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, and the elderly.
Bac-Set® Cold/Flu is needed by those who want to get sick less often or not at all during the cold season; those who, when ill, want to have a mild course of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) without complications; and those who, due to their occupation, come into contact with a large number of people (doctors, pharmacists, teachers, service industry workers).
Recent research has proven that 80% of immune system cells are located in the intestines, as this organ is one of the first to encounter pathogens from the external environment, creating a barrier against the penetration of bacteria and viruses into the bloodstream.
Certain types of probiotic bacteria contribute to the activation of local immunity by producing secretory immunoglobulin A, enhance the production of the body’s own interferon during viral infections, and influence the number of lymphocytes and killer cells.
The composition of Bac-Set Cold/Flu includes 17 species (strains) of bacteria that have the ability to enhance the protective properties of the immune system.
Thanks to this natural activation of one’s own immunity, the number of ARVI episodes during the cold season is reduced in frequently ill children and adults.
Also, taking probiotics from the first day of ARVI reduces inflammation, which, in turn, leads to a significant reduction in the duration and severity of the illness.
Thanks to the improved microencapsulated production technology, the beneficial bacteria included in the complex overcome the acidic environment of the stomach and reach the intestines unchanged, maintain their viability and activity throughout the entire shelf life, and do not require refrigeration.
