Antiparasitic drug for external use. It is active against scabies mites and lice.

Dosage Regimen
| The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen. |
Ointment
The course of treatment lasts 4 days.
Adults are prescribed a 20% ointment, and children are prescribed a 10% ointment.
On the first day, the treatment is performed in the evening before bedtime after thorough washing in the shower with warm water and soap. The ointment is rubbed into the skin of the hands, then the torso and legs, including the soles and toes. After skin treatment, only clean underwear and clothes should be used.
On the 2nd and 3rd days, a break in treatment is taken, and the residue of the ointment is not washed off the skin. On the 4th day in the evening, the patient washes with soap and rubs in the ointment as on the first day, using the remaining ointment and changing all underwear again.
Hands should not be washed for 3 hours after treatment; subsequently, hands are treated with the ointment after each washing.
If the emulsion is washed off from other areas of the skin, they must also be re-treated. The ointment is completely washed off the skin on the fifth day of treatment.
Treatment of complicated scabies (dermatitis, eczema, pyoderma, post-scabious lymphoplasia) should be carried out simultaneously with the treatment of scabies and continue after its completion.
Emulsion
For external use. The dosage regimen depends on the indications and the dosage form used.
Adverse Reactions
Local reactions possibly (especially in children) a burning sensation, skin irritation.
Contraindications
- Not recommended for children under 3 years of age;
- Pregnancy;
- Breastfeeding period.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation
Not recommended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Pediatric Use
Not recommended for children under 3 years of age.
Special Precautions
Treatment of patients identified in the same focus, as well as contact persons, should be carried out simultaneously to avoid re-infection.
Persistence of itching after treatment is not an indication for prescribing an additional course of specific therapy. Itching is the body’s reaction to the killed mite and its waste products and disappears with the appointment of antihistamines and corticosteroid ointments.
After treatment, medical supervision is necessary for 2 weeks, and in the presence of complications, for a longer period.
Avoid getting the drug on the mucous membranes, as severe burning occurs. Small children should wear a shirt with sewn-up sleeves after treatment.
All linen and other items that have been in contact with infected skin must be thoroughly processed. Bedding, towels, and bed linen are boiled in a washing powder solution for 5-10 minutes.
Outer clothing is ironed on both sides with a hot iron.
Items not subject to heat treatment are hung outdoors for 3 days.
Shoes, toys, and other items are excluded from use for 5 days and placed in a plastic bag.
Mattresses, pillows, and blankets are also excluded from use for 5 days or subjected to chamber disinfection.
Upholstered furniture can be treated with insecticides.
It is necessary to clean the apartment, wash the floors with detergents or with the addition of disinfectants.
Avoid getting the drug in the eyes, nose, or mouth.
If the drug gets into the mouth: rinse thoroughly with water or a 2% solution of warm drinking soda and ensure rest.
If the drug enters the stomach: the stomach is washed with a 1-2% solution of drinking soda, an aqueous mixture of burnt magnesia and activated charcoal, or an aqueous mixture of crushed chalk (2 tablespoons per 1 liter of water), after which a mixture of 1-2 tablespoons of activated charcoal and burnt magnesia in a glass of water is given to drink, then a saline laxative is taken (do not give castor oil!).
If the drug gets into the eyes: rinse thoroughly with water or drinking soda; if the mucous membrane of the eyes is irritated, instill a 30% solution of sulfacetamide (albucid) behind the eyelid, for pain – a 2% solution of procaine (novocaine).
If signs of skin irritation appear, the use of the drug should be discontinued.
Storage Conditions
Store in a place inaccessible to children at a temperature not exceeding 20°C (68°F).
Shelf Life
The shelf life is 3 years. Do not use the drug after the expiration date.
Dispensing Status
The drug is dispensed without a prescription.
