Properties
Dietary supplement, a complex of natural apple pectin, the prebiotic inulin, succinic acid, and taurine.
Pectin is a natural sorbent that eliminates the cause and symptoms of intoxication. It removes harmful substances from the body: toxins, allergens, drug metabolites, bile acids, histamine, bilirubin, heavy metal ions, and radionuclides, preventing their absorption into the blood.
Pectin is slightly broken down in the stomach and is not digested in the intestine. Everything captured by the “pectin sponge” is excreted from the body.
Often, substances harmful to the human body also have a detrimental effect on the gastrointestinal tract microflora.
Inulin promotes the restoration of the natural intestinal microflora. Inulin accelerates the passage of the food bolus through the upper parts of the gastrointestinal tract, which contributes to the faster elimination of harmful substances.
In the lower intestines, inulin breaks down and serves as a nutrient substrate for bifidobacteria and lactobacilli. Inulin has a selective action, i.e., it stimulates the development of beneficial microflora but does not promote the growth of pathogenic microorganisms.
Succinic acid and taurine are easily absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and improve energy production in cells. Succinic acid also stimulates the detoxification function of the liver.
Scope of Application
As a dietary supplement – an additional source of pectin, inulin, taurine, and succinic acid: for the occurrence of allergic reactions (including to food products); for dysbiosis; for chronic intoxications of various origins and for their prevention; during detoxification – as part of complex therapy after acute intestinal infections; during long-term use of medicines, including antibiotics.
