Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Apply topically for temporary relief of toothache until professional dental care is received.

Moisten a small cotton swab with 2-3 drops of the preparation. Apply the moistened swab directly to the aching tooth or the surrounding gum area.

Leave the swab in place for 5-10 minutes. Do not exceed the recommended application time. This procedure can be repeated as needed for pain relief.

Adverse Reactions

Local allergic reactions, including skin rash, itching, or redness, are possible. If the preparation comes into contact with the oral mucosa, it may cause a transient, mild to moderate burning sensation.

Discontinue use immediately if signs of a severe allergic reaction (e.g., difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat) occur and seek immediate medical attention. Report any adverse reactions to a healthcare professional.

Drug Interactions

Specific drug interactions have not been described for this topical preparation. No formal interaction studies have been conducted.

Due to the sedative properties of valerian, exercise caution with concurrent use of other central nervous system depressants, including alcohol, barbiturates, and benzodiazepines, as additive effects are theoretically possible.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to any of the active substances (peppermint oil, valerian, camphor) or any of the excipients.
  • Use in children under 12 years of age due to lack of safety and efficacy data in this population.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding due to the absence of sufficient safety data for use during these periods.

Overdose

Overdose is unlikely with correct topical application. In case of accidental ingestion, gastrointestinal irritation, including symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain, may occur.

Ingestion of significant quantities may lead to central nervous system effects, such as drowsiness or lethargy, due to the valerian component. In case of accidental ingestion, seek immediate medical attention and provide symptomatic and supportive care.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

The use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding is contraindicated.

Pediatric Use

Contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.
