Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Administer to adults and children over 5 years of age. Dissolve one lozenge slowly in the mouth every two to three hours as needed for symptom relief.

Strictly adhere to the maximum daily dosage. Do not exceed eight lozenges within a 24-hour period. Space doses evenly throughout the day.

Adverse Reactions

Monitor for signs of hypersensitivity reactions, which may include skin rash, pruritus, or urticaria. These reactions are uncommon but possible due to the active ingredients or excipients.

Discontinue use immediately if any signs of an allergic reaction appear and seek medical advice. Local irritation is rare when the product is used as directed.

Drug Interactions

No clinically significant pharmacokinetic interactions with systemically administered medications have been reported or are anticipated due to the topical mode of action and low systemic absorption of the active components.

For optimal absorption of other orally administered drugs, avoid taking them immediately before or after using this lozenge. Maintain a time interval of at least 30 minutes between this product and other oral medications.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to any of the active substances (anethole, 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol, racemic menthol, peppermint oil) or to any of the excipients. Known allergy to plants of the Lamiaceae family (mint family) is a specific contraindication.
  • Pediatric patients under 5 years of age due to the risk of choking and the lack of established safety and efficacy data in this age group. The lozenge formulation is not suitable for young children.

Overdose

In case of accidental ingestion of a large number of lozenges, symptoms are likely to be related to the local irritant effects of the components and may include gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain.

No specific antidote exists. Initiate symptomatic and supportive care. Gastric lavage is not indicated. Ensure adequate fluid intake. Seek medical attention if a substantial overdose occurs or if symptoms are severe.
