Pharmacological Action
A combined herbal medicine that has anti-inflammatory, locally irritating, expectorant, antiseptic, bronchodilator, and antitussive effects.
By irritating the receptors of the mucous membranes and skin, it promotes the release of enkephalins, endorphins, and other peptides that regulate pain sensitivity and vascular permeability. It stimulates the ciliated epithelium of the mucous membranes, enhances the secretion of the bronchial mucosa, and promotes the thinning and rapid removal of sputum from the respiratory tract.
It is active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (including Staphylococcus aureus and Mycobacterium tuberculosis).
Indications
- Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract, accompanied by the formation of difficult-to-separate secretions.
- Use for symptomatic relief in conditions such as pharyngitis, laryngitis, tracheitis, and bronchitis.
