Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Administer orally, allowing one sublingual tablet to dissolve slowly in the mouth. Do not chew or swallow the tablet whole.

Adhere to a dosing schedule of one lozenge every two to three hours as required for symptomatic relief. The maximum daily intake should not exceed the number of tablets specified in the package instructions.

Adverse Reactions

Monitor for signs of hypersensitivity reactions, which may present as skin rash, pruritus, urticaria, or angioedema.

Discontinue use immediately upon the appearance of any allergic symptoms and seek medical advice. Local irritation in the oral mucosa is also possible but less frequently reported.

Drug Interactions

Exercise caution with concurrent use of anticoagulant or antiplatelet medications, such as warfarin or aspirin, due to potential enhancement of effects from salvia components.

Avoid concomitant administration with other topical oral antiseptics as this may reduce the efficacy of either product. Maintain a minimum interval of 30 minutes between uses of different oral preparations.

Contraindications

  • Known hypersensitivity to any of the active substances (ascorbic acid, salvia extract, sage oil) or to any of the excipients listed in the product composition.
  • Patients with a history of severe allergic reactions, particularly to plants of the Lamiaceae family, which includes sage, mint, and basil, due to the risk of cross-reactivity.

Overdose

In case of accidental ingestion of a significantly large number of tablets, promptly seek medical attention or contact a poison control center.

Symptoms of overdose may primarily involve gastrointestinal discomfort, such as nausea, abdominal pain, or diarrhea, largely attributable to the high dose of ascorbic acid. Provide symptomatic and supportive care as no specific antidote exists.

Storage Conditions

Store at 2°C (36°F) to 25°C (77°F). Keep in original packaging, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
