Pharmacological Action
The Efcamon® balm provides a long-lasting warming effect, helps improve blood circulation in the skin, improves tissue nutrition, relieves tension and fatigue at the site of application, and has an analgesic effect.
The capsicum tincture included in the balm causes an increase in skin temperature at the site of application, improves blood circulation in the skin, and has a counterirritant and analgesic effect.
The natural herbal components ( Menthol, Camphor, clove, mustard, eucalyptus oils) have a beneficial effect due to their relaxing, distracting action, provide a sensation of warmth, and stop the inflammatory process.
Indications
Use as part of complex therapy for the symptomatic relief of mild to moderate pain associated with musculoskeletal conditions.
- Muscle pain (myalgia) and joint pain (arthralgia).
- Pain in the spine, including lumbago and sciatica.
- Dislocations, sprains, strains, and contusions resulting from trauma.
- Radiculopathy and other forms of nerve root pain.

Dosage Regimen

Apply a small amount of ointment with massaging movements to the painful area 2-3 times per day.
Use only on intact skin. To enhance the warming and analgesic effect, cover the application site with a dry, warm bandage after application.
The duration of use depends on the therapeutic response and should not exceed the period necessary for symptom relief.
Adverse Reactions
Local reactions at the application site, including skin irritation, redness, itching, burning sensation, or rash, may occur.
Allergic reactions, such as contact dermatitis, urticaria, or more severe hypersensitivity reactions, are possible, especially in individuals with known sensitivity to salicylates or other components.
Discontinue use immediately if any adverse reaction occurs.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to methyl salicylate, other salicylates, or any other component of the ointment.
- Application to inflamed, damaged, or diseased skin, including eczema, dermatitis, open wounds, or burns.
- Use on mucous membranes.
- Use in children under a certain age, as specified by a physician, due to the risk of systemic absorption and salicylate toxicity.
Special Precautions
After application, it is necessary to wash hands with soap.
Storage Conditions
Store in a dry place out of reach of children at a temperature from 0°C (32°F) to 20°C (68°F). Protect from direct sunlight.
