Pharmacological Action
A combined drug. It replenishes the deficiency of iron, which is necessary for the body’s vital functions.
Iron is part of hemoglobin, myoglobin, and various enzymes. Reversibly binding oxygen, it participates in a number of redox reactions and stimulates erythropoiesis.
Copper sulfate, ascorbic and folic acids, and pyridoxine hydrochloride contribute to more active absorption of iron, its entry into the systemic bloodstream, and lead to the restoration of its normal concentration in the body.
Food albumin, condensed milk, and sugar allow the drug to be used as a dietary supplement for insufficient nutrition.
Indications
Latent iron deficiency (without anemia): inadequate nutrition; period of active growth; chronic gastritis (hypo- and anacid gastritis); pregnancy; lactation period; convalescence (after somatic and infectious diseases); activities associated with significant neuropsychic and physical stress.
