Dosage Regimen

Take one capsule orally three times daily with meals to enhance iron absorption and minimize potential gastrointestinal discomfort.
Adhere strictly to the recommended dosage; do not exceed it. The standard course of administration is one month. This is not a medicine.
Adverse Reactions
Gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, epigastric pain, constipation, or diarrhea may occur. These effects are often dose-dependent.
Allergic reactions, including skin rash, itching, or urticaria, are possible in individuals with hypersensitivity. Discontinue use immediately if any adverse reactions manifest.
Drug Interactions and Concomitant Use Precautions
Iron can reduce the absorption of tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, levodopa, levothyroxine, and bisphosphonates; administer these agents at least 2 hours apart.
Ascorbic acid may increase the absorption of iron. Vitamin C can alter urinary glucose tests and potentially interact with anticoagulants like warfarin. Concurrent use with antacids may decrease iron absorption.
Contraindications and Conditions Prohibiting Use
- Contraindicated in cases of known hypersensitivity or individual intolerance to any component of the formulation, including ferrous sulfate or ascorbic acid.
- Do not use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding due to potential risks.
- Avoid use in patients with hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis, or other iron overload disorders.
Overdose Symptoms and Management Procedures
Symptoms of overdose may include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and lethargy, which can progress to metabolic acidosis, coagulopathy, hepatic necrosis, and cardiovascular collapse.
Seek immediate medical attention in case of suspected overdose. Treatment is supportive and may include gastric lavage and administration of chelating agents such as deferoxamine in severe cases.
