Pharmacological Action

A herbal preparation; it has choleretic, cholekinetic, choleretic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, spasmolytic, and wound-healing effects.

It enhances bile secretion and increases the bilirubin content in it, increases the tone of the gallbladder and promotes bile outflow.

It has a relaxing effect on the smooth muscles of the gallbladder sphincters and biliary tract, changes the viscosity and chemical composition of bile.

By stimulating gastric juice secretion and slowing down the evacuation function of the stomach and intestines, it promotes better digestion of food.

It activates the exocrine activity of the pancreas; dilates the blood vessels of the intestines.

By promoting the excretion of cholesterol with bile, it has a hypocholesterolemic effect; possesses antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria.

Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

Administer orally, 30 minutes before meals, with a small amount of warm water.

The standard adult dosage for tablets and granules is 1 tablet three times daily.

For more pronounced therapeutic needs, the dosage may be increased to 2 tablets two to three times daily.

The typical treatment course ranges from 10 to 40 days; follow the specific duration prescribed by a physician.

Adverse Reactions

Monitor for allergic reactions, including skin rash, itching, or urticaria.

Observe patients with a history of arterial hypertension for potential increases in blood pressure.

Discontinue use immediately and consult a physician if any adverse effects occur.

Contraindications

Do not use under the following conditions.

Hypersensitivity to the active substance Helichrysi flos or any other component of the formulation.
Confirmed or suspected cholelithiasis (gallstones).
Presence of obstructive jaundice due to mechanical blockage of the biliary tract.

Drug Interactions

Concomitant use with metronidazole and aminoquinol compounds enhances their antiprotozoal activity against giardiasis.

This synergistic effect may allow for adjustments in the dosage of the antiprotozoal agents; monitor therapy accordingly.

Store at 2°C (36°F) to 25°C (77°F). Keep in original packaging, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
