Pharmacological Action
A herbal preparation. It has a diuretic, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial effect.
The essential oil of juniper berries (mainly terpineol) enhances filtration in the renal glomeruli and inhibits the reverse resorption of sodium and chloride ions in the convoluted tubules of the kidneys.
Galenic preparations of juniper berries enhance the secretion of bronchial glands, increase bile formation and bile excretion, and enhance the secretion of gastric juice.
Indications
As part of complex therapy for edematous syndrome (in heart failure, renal and/or hepatic insufficiency), cystitis.

Dosage Regimen

Herbal raw material
About 10 g (1 tablespoon) of the fruits are placed in a glass or enamelware, poured with 200 ml (1 cup) of boiling water, covered with a lid, and heated in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, then cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, strained, and the remaining raw material is squeezed out.
The volume of the resulting infusion is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.
Take orally, 1 tablespoon of the infusion 3-4 times a day after meals.
The infusion is recommended to be shaken before use.
Adverse Reactions
Possible:allergic reactions.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to juniper; acute inflammatory kidney diseases; pregnancy, breastfeeding period; children under 18 years of age.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation
Contraindicated for use during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding).
Use in Renal Impairment
Contraindicated in acute inflammatory kidney diseases. When used in increased doses or for a long time, impaired kidney function is possible.
Pediatric Use
Contraindicated for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Special Precautions
The product should not be used for more than 4 weeks without consulting a doctor.
Storage Conditions
Store at 2°C (36°F) to 25°C (77°F). Keep in original packaging, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
