Dietary supplement for restoration of intestinal microflora

Indications

  • As a dietary supplement to the diet, it is a source of B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B6, B9, B12), L-carnitine, succinic acid, and contains eleutherococcus and schisandra extracts, as well as peptidic ultralysates of probiotic microorganisms and digestive enzymes.
  • Intended for use as an additional source of vitamins and bioactive compounds to help support the body’s energy metabolism and general metabolic processes.
  • May be used to help support intestinal microflora balance and promote digestive comfort, especially during periods of dietary changes, stress, or after a course of antibiotic therapy (as an adjunct, not a replacement for prescribed probiotics).
  • The components are selected to assist in maintaining energy levels and reducing feelings of fatigue and lethargy, thanks to the inclusion of adaptogenic plant extracts and metabolites.

Contraindications

  • Individual hypersensitivity to any of the components of the dietary supplement. A detailed list of active and auxiliary substances is provided in the “Composition” section.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding. Due to the presence of adaptogen extracts (eleutherococcus, schisandra) and the lack of sufficient safety data for this population, use is not recommended.
  • Insomnia, marked nervous excitability, and arterial hypertension. The stimulating effect of adaptogenic components may exacerbate these conditions.
  • Acute phases of gastrointestinal infections, peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum in the acute stage, acute pancreatitis.
  • Severe cardiovascular diseases, including severe atherosclerosis, cardiac rhythm disorders, and myocardial infarction in history.
  • Not intended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age due to the lack of data on safety and efficacy in this age group.

Dosage Regimen

The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen.

For adults, take 1 capsule 2 times a day with meals. The capsule should be swallowed whole with a sufficient amount of water (approximately 150-200 ml).

The duration of intake is 1 month. If necessary, the course may be repeated after consulting a physician. It is not recommended to exceed the stated daily dose.

The optimal time for taking the supplement is during the main meals (e.g., lunch and dinner) to ensure the best interaction with food components and improve tolerability.

If you miss a dose, do not double the next one; simply continue with the regular dosing schedule.

Adverse Reactions

Adverse reactions when taking Layco Metabio Vital are rare and typically mild and transient in nature.

From the gastrointestinal tract: in isolated cases, especially at the beginning of intake, discomfort in the epigastric region, nausea, or changes in stool (constipation or diarrhea) may occur. These symptoms usually resolve on their own without the need to discontinue the supplement.

Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching, urticaria, and redness may occur in individuals with individual intolerance or hypersensitivity to any of the components of the supplement, including plant extracts or auxiliary substances.

From the nervous and cardiovascular systems: due to the presence of tonic plant extracts (eleutherococcus, schisandra), individuals with increased sensitivity may experience sleep disturbances (insomnia), increased nervous excitability, increased blood pressure, or tachycardia (palpitations).

If any of the described or other undesirable effects occur, discontinue use of the supplement and consult a doctor.

Drug Interactions

Before starting to take the supplement, if you are taking any other medications, it is imperative to consult with your physician.

The B vitamins contained in the supplement, particularly pyridoxine (B6), may reduce the effectiveness of levodopa when used without a peripheral decarboxylase inhibitor. If you are taking medications for Parkinson’s disease, consultation with a neurologist is necessary.

Adaptogenic extracts (eleutherococcus, schisandra) have a tonic effect and may potentiate (enhance) the effect of other stimulants of the central nervous system, as well as weaken the effect of drugs that depress the central nervous system (e.g., barbiturates, tranquilizers).

There is a theoretical possibility that eleutherococcus may interact with anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin) and antidiabetic agents, potentially altering their effect. Close monitoring of relevant parameters (INR, blood glucose levels) is recommended at the beginning of concomitant use.

Succinic acid may affect the metabolism of certain drugs, although clinical significance for this formulation is unlikely. It is recommended to take other medications 2-3 hours apart from taking Layco Metabio Vital capsules to minimize potential interaction risks.

Overdose

Cases of overdose with Layco Metabio Vital have not been described. Given the composition and form of release, the risk of acute overdose with serious consequences is assessed as low.

In case of a single significant excess of the recommended dose, an increase in the severity of described adverse reactions is possible, primarily from the gastrointestinal tract (nausea, abdominal pain) and the nervous system (headache, agitation, sleep disturbances).

In case of suspected overdose, discontinue use of the supplement immediately. Treatment is symptomatic and supportive. It is recommended to drink plenty of fluids. If severe symptoms occur or if a large number of capsules have been ingested by a child, seek immediate medical attention.

To prevent overdose, do not exceed the recommended daily dose of 2 capsules and store the supplement in a place inaccessible to children.
