Main cases of clinical application
Otorhinolaryngology
- Recurrent rhinopharyngitis. Hypersecretion of the mucous membranes alternates with their dryness: acute rhinitis occurs suddenly; watery rhinorrhea and lacrimation are profuse and reach a maximum by 10 a.m., and decrease by noon. The onset of such recurrent rhinopharyngitis in children is often facilitated by weather changes and staying at the seaside;
- Allergic seasonal and perennial rhinosinusitis;
- Seromucous otitis;
- Chronic rhinosinusitis with an allergic component.
Pulmonology
- Constitutional treatment of asthma.
Dermatology
- Atopic dermatitis, in which lesions are localized in the folds of the elbows, popliteal fossae, and along the hairline;
- Juvenile polymorphic acne with comedones on the forehead;
- Frequently recurrent labial or genital herpes;
- Seborrheic dermatitis of the face and scalp with localization at the hairline;
- Warts localized on the palms, finger folds, and forehead wrinkles;
- Chronic or recurrent urticaria, starting either due to sudden and excessive exertion, often accompanied by profuse sweating, or due to sun exposure (photodermatitis).
Gynecology
- Premenstrual syndrome accompanied by weight gain;
- Recurrent vaginitis, especially vaginal mycosis;
- Dyspareunia due to vaginal dryness (not related to postmenopausal dryness), often alternating with profuse cervical mucus at the time of ovulation; this characteristic can be observed in women suffering from infertility of unknown cause;
- Hypomenorrhea, secondary amenorrhea in adolescent girls and young women;
- Menometrorrhagia.
Urology
- Recurrent urinary tract infections;
- Orthostatic proteinuria.
Psychiatry
- Reactive depressive states characterized by:
- Withdrawal, sadness, tearfulness (most often in secret);
- Depression due to grief or disappointment;
- Indifference towards the surroundings and refusal of any consolation.
- Behavioral and sleep disorders in adolescents and young adults;
- Behavioral disorders in children that appeared after a long stay at the seaside.
Endocrinology
- Growth and development pathology in children;
- Dysthyreosis;
- Compensation of unstable insulin-dependent diabetes.
Gastroenterology
- Persistent constipation with fragmented stools in patients with disorders of salt and fluid intake (excess or absence of thirst);
- Dyspepsia;
- Vomiting with acetonemia in a child.
Other indications
- Convalescence periods after acute, anergy-causing illnesses, especially due to severe exhaustion (including gastroenteritis, sweating, hemorrhages), leading to dehydration, weight loss, and asthenia;
- Asthenia, psychasthenia due to physical or mental overwork (students during exams), accompanied by:
- Pulsating headaches worsening in warmth;
- Excitation of the cardiovascular system with the slightest effort;
- Lumbago;
- Weight loss.
- General signs of microcytic hypochromic anemia (pallor, sensitivity to cold and intense thirst), mainly arising from chronic blood loss (menometrorrhagia).
