Osteocare (Tablets, Solution) Instructions for Use

ATC Code

M05BX (Other drugs affecting bone structure and mineralization)

Clinical-Pharmacological Group

Drug regulating calcium and phosphorus metabolism

Pharmacotherapeutic Group

Calcium-phosphorus metabolism regulator

Pharmacological Action

A combined drug that replenishes the deficiency of calcium, magnesium, zinc, and vitamin D; regulates phosphorus-calcium metabolism.

It accelerates the mineralization of bone tissue and the formation of callus.

Calcium is involved in the formation of bone tissue, the transmission of nerve impulses, and is necessary for maintaining cardiac activity.

Magnesium is involved in the regulation of calcium metabolism, bone growth and mineralization; together with vitamin D, it maintains bone homeostasis.

Colecalciferol (vitamin D) regulates the metabolism of calcium and phosphorus, the process of building bone structure; increases the absorption of calcium ions in the intestine, protein synthesis in the small intestine, liver, and bones; and the excretion of phosphates by the kidneys.

It stimulates DNA synthesis in osteocytes, inhibits the function of osteoclasts, and slows down the processes of bone tissue involution.

Indications

Prevention of osteoporosis (including during menopause, in old age); disorders of calcium metabolism (including during pregnancy and lactation, convalescence); bone fractures (to accelerate healing); period of intensive growth in childhood and adolescence; active sports; dietary calcium deficiency.
