Pharmacological Action
The infusion of the mixture has an expectorant and anti-inflammatory effect.
Indications
Use for the symptomatic treatment of inflammatory conditions of the respiratory tract where cough is present with viscous, difficult-to-expectorate sputum.
- Acute and chronic bronchitis.
- Tracheitis and laryngotracheitis.
- Other respiratory conditions characterized by productive cough.

Dosage Regimen
| The method of application and dosage regimen for a specific drug depend on its form of release and other factors. The optimal dosage regimen is determined by the doctor. It is necessary to strictly adhere to the compliance of the dosage form of a specific drug with the indications for use and dosage regimen. |
Prepare as a hot infusion for oral administration. Place one tablespoon (4 g) of the herbal mixture into an enamel bowl.
Pour 200 ml of cold boiled water, cover, and heat in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes and strain.
Bring the volume of the resulting infusion to 200 ml with hot boiled water. Take 100 ml hot 3 to 4 times a day. The treatment course is typically 2 to 3 weeks. Shake the infusion before each use.
Adverse Reactions
Allergic reactions, including skin rash, pruritus, and urticaria, are possible due to hypersensitivity to the herbal components.
Discontinue use immediately if any signs of an allergic reaction appear and consult a healthcare professional. No other specific adverse reactions are commonly reported.
Contraindications
Do not use under the following conditions due to the risk of adverse effects or lack of safety data.
- Hypersensitivity to Farfarae folium, Plantago major, Liquorice, or any other component.
- Pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding).
- Children under 12 years of age.
- Erosive-ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract (e.g., gastritis, peptic ulcer).
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation
Contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
Pediatric Use
Contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.
Special Precautions
Effect on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery.
The use of the drug does not affect the performance of potentially hazardous activities requiring increased concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving vehicles, working with moving mechanisms).
Overdose
No specific cases of overdose have been reported. Symptoms are expected to be an exaggeration of known adverse effects, primarily gastrointestinal discomfort.
In case of suspected overdose, discontinue use immediately and initiate symptomatic and supportive treatment. Ensure adequate hydration.
Drug Interactions
Avoid concurrent use with antitussive drugs (e.g., codeine, dextromethorphan) and other agents that reduce sputum production.
This combination counteracts the expectorant effect and can lead to retention of liquefied secretions in the airways. No other clinically significant pharmacokinetic interactions are known.
Storage Conditions
Store the drug in a dry place, protected from light.
The prepared infusion should be stored in a cool place for no more than 2 days.
Keep out of reach of children.
Shelf Life
Shelf life – 3 years.
Do not use after the expiration date.
