Properties

The Phytomucil^® Norm Plus dietary supplement is a natural complex of two types of soluble prebiotic fiber (Fibersol^® and Psyllium) for restoring regular stool and improving microbiota.

Fibersol^® is a fiber of natural origin (soluble prebiotic fibers) that is not digested in the human gastrointestinal tract but is fermented by the gut microbiota, thereby nourishing it. The fermentation products of the Fibersol^® component, such as short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), stimulate intestinal peristalsis and also support the health of the intestinal villi, thus improving digestion.

Clinical studies of the Fibersol^® component have shown that it contributes to:

• Eliminating functional constipation;
• Supporting gut health;
• Improving stool consistency.

Psyllium is the husk of seeds from a special variety of plantain, which consists of soluble and insoluble dietary fibers. A distinctive feature of psyllium is that it consists almost entirely of fiber (70% of which is soluble), which turns into a gel upon contact with water. Soluble psyllium fibers in the intestine absorb water, swell, turn into a mucous gel, and soften the stool, which facilitates its easy excretion. Insoluble fibers mechanically stimulate the intestinal walls, activating its movements and the excretion of waste.

Thus, the Phytomucil^® Norm Plus complex simultaneously acts on both the intestinal contents and its mucous membrane, relieving constipation, bloating, and a feeling of heaviness. In addition to the laxative effect, Phytomucil^® Norm Plus works as a prebiotic – it creates favorable conditions for the growth of the body’s own beneficial gut microflora, which helps eliminate dysbiosis, reduce bloating, and improve digestion.

The Phytomucil^® Norm Plus complex does not contain senna, so its cleansing effect is not accompanied by pain and sudden urges. Regular bowel function is restored naturally.

Dosage Regimen

Powder

Children aged 3 to 10 years are prescribed 1 sachet or 2 teaspoons once a day (in the evening).

Children aged 11 to 14 years – 1 sachet or 2 teaspoons twice a day (in the morning and evening).

Adults and children over 14 years – 1 sachet or 2 teaspoons 2-3 times a day.

The duration of the complex intake is selected individually. The minimum recommended course of intake is 3 months. Since fiber is an integral part of a healthy diet, and the Phytomucil^® Norm Plus complex is a source of high-quality fiber, it can be taken long-term as needed. After stool normalization, it is recommended to use the Phytomucil^® Norm Plus complex in a maintenance dose (1 sachet per day).

Method of Application

The Phytomucil^® Norm Plus complex is recommended to be taken in the morning 30 minutes before breakfast and in the evening 1 hour after dinner.

The powder should first be dissolved in a glass of water or any non-alcoholic beverage (juice, kefir, drinking yogurt), wait 1 minute, and drink. It is recommended to drink a glass of clean still water afterwards.

Contraindications

• Individual intolerance to the components of the complex;
• Acute inflammatory diseases and obstruction of the gastrointestinal tract.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The Phytomucil^® Norm Plus complex can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Phytomucil^® Norm can be used in children over 3 years of age.

Drug Interactions

The interval between taking the Phytomucil^® Norm Plus complex and simultaneously taken medications, vitamin complexes, or other dietary supplements should be at least 1 hour.
